Pickled Holler opening for Cosmo Jr.

Saturday, October 19th at 6 pm

Winterville: Clarke County’s Other Town

Sunday, October 20th from 3 pm to 5 pm

The Athens Historical Society explores historic Winterville in this event open to the public at the Winterville Auditorium and Winterville Center. The presentation will include a historic map of Winterville, lecture by historian and museum curator Jonathan Scott of the Winterville Historic Preservation Commission, and a tour of local historic sites. A reception at the Winterville Center will follow.


Winterville Town Hall

Monday, October 21st at 7 pm

The next Winterville Town Hall meeting will cover the Firefly Trail, SPLOST 2020 and 2011, TSPLOST, Historic Preservation, CCSD, Infrastructure and more.

Puccini's "Il Tabarro" and Martin's "True Story of Cinderella"

October 24th, 25th, and 27th

RespirOpera Company presents an operatic double feature for three days at the Winterville Auditorium. Evening shows are Thursday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th at 7:00 p.m. The Sunday matinee on October 27th is at 3:00 p.m. and includes a "Cinderella Only" option for families with small children who want to avoid the more "adult" themes in the Puccini Opera. Off the Vine Harvest Festival

Saturday, October 26th from 9 am to 2 pm

Off the Vine’s Harvest Festival will feature multiple arts and crafts vendors, along with food and other unique items. Come get seasonal items or early Christmas gifts!


Winterville UMC Fall Festival

Saturday, October 26th from 9 am to 5 pm

Winterville United Methodist is hosting a free fall festival with food, games, bouncy houses, kid crafts, a photo booth, and artist vendors. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. there will be a musical hootenanny with singing and dancing for all ages.


Winterville Baptist Trunk or Treat

Sunday, Oct 27th at 5 pm

The Winterville First Baptist Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 27th from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. Activities will include inflatables, cupcake walk, games, and trunk or treating.

Ghosts of Athens at the Winterville Library

Tuesday, October 29th at 5:30 pm

The Winterville Library hosts author Tracy Adkins for a book signing, Q & A, and reading of “Ghosts of Athens: History and Haunting of Athens, Georgia” on Tuesday, October 29th at 5:30 p.m.


Winterville Civitan Election Forum

Tuesday, October 29th at 7 pm

Meet the candidates for Winterville mayor and city council in a moderated forum at the Winterville Auditorium on Tuesday, October 29th at 7 p.m. All Winterville residents are encouraged to attend.


Grove Chapel Trunk or Treat

Wednesday, October 30th at 6 pm

Grove Chapel Baptist Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October 30 at 6 p.m. This event will include games, cakewalks, hot dogs, and more. There will also be a contest for the best decorated trunk.


Heritage Walk: Winterville

Saturday, November 2 at 10 am

Historic Athens is sponsoring a historic tour of Winterville on Saturday, November 2nd at 10:00 a.m., which will be given by Winterville City Council member and historian Mary Quinn. The tour will explore Winterville’s major landmarks, along with the proposed Firefly Trail and the site of the Center Baptist Church cemetery, named one of Historic Athens Places in Peril for 2019. Tickets required--purchase tickets for this event.

Friday, December 6th
